One of my headcanons is that Irene has never had surgery before. She’s definitely been hurt badly enough to require surgery, yes, but most of those injuries were received when she was on the run and unable to get to medical treatment. So she had just needed to make do on her own, by herself. The reason I decided that she’d never had surgery before is because it kinda goes with my overall characterization. My Irene, as much as she blusters about and loves being arrogant and thought of as being bigger than she is, is actually extremely naive. She never thought Sherlock could bring her down, and yet he did, and that humbled her, made her realize that she’s not all that. She’s naive and thinks herself to be so big when, in reality, she was relatively protected up to the camera phone business aside from a few big incidents (her husband being the biggest of them all). So, if she was stabbed, I’d rather it be something not so deep to require surgery, because that falls in line with my original headcanon.
The second thing is about the Unbind Me. Irene would absolutely freak the fuck out if someone tried to tie her up during a session. I’m sure it’s happened to her before, given how long she’s been in the business and the types of people she’s encountered, but it’s because of what her husband tried to do to her. I don’t know if you’ve read my headcanon, but her husband, who was very controlling and slowly but surely attempted to control all aspects of her life, came in one night and wanted to try out bondage, making her the submissive partner. She didn’t want that. She didn’t trust him enough to do that to her. He was upset and angry and tried to force her into it, very nearly raping her. She struggled against him and got quite a few bruises and cuts from the ensuing fight, but at the end of it, he was the one tied up on the bed, not her. And because of that, she now always wants control of a situation. The thrill she felt at seeing him immobilized, unable to hurt her, and with her holding his livelihood in her hands, made her want to become a dominatrix so that she could protect herself against others and scold them for their wrongdoings.
So if she was bound, she would absolutely freak out. It’s very difficult for her to take bondage. She can do it to others, but she can’t take it herself. If someone tied her up or attempted to, she’d probably snap their neck and possibly panic, just a bit. So that last one might not fit in and become headcanon.

Well, maybe, she was freaking out, but on the inside. Especially after Kate let her go and she slightly attacked Kate, it was her jumping on the occasion to take control again. This could have been earlier on in their relationship, and Kate could have not been home when Irene was tied up. So she could have had her panic then, and when Kate got home, she didn’t want to show that she was weak, so pulled the best acting she could and played it cool

Headcanon: Kate got the heart tattoo after her brother, Rowan, died. When she was little, he use to tickle her behind the ear out of affection, or to tease her and say “Me ould segota”. She placed the heart behind her ear to remember that affectionate tickle, and that she will always love her brother.
Headcanon: While Kate loves the lavish and expensive things Tony buys her, a simple date in the tub with candles and two glasses of wine is really what she likes doing the most with him.
Kate has an unusual obsession with the American cult film Rocky Horror Picture Show. Despite how terrible the movie really is, she cannot stop watching it, and knows each and every line by heart. She has also performed in a shadow cast before and has gone to midnight showings of the picture in London whenever they have it. Her favorite character is, of course, Magenta.
Not really something she shares with many people, but if she hears any tune from the movie, she will instantly burst into song.
